Do you have:

 

An employee number (300xxxxxx)

This is your username for MyOkanagan

This is your username for WebCT

This is your username for wireless network access

 

A Novell login (first initial last name)

This gets you onto a computer in an OC lab

 

An Outlook Exchange email address (flastname@okanagan.bc.ca)

This is your username for outlook webmail

This is your username for people.okanagan.bc.ca

This might be your username for the online AV booking system

LCD projector in ceiling

- classrooms with remote control

- classrooms with Crestron control panel (see website)

- classrooms with touch panel (D212, theatre)

 

look for the big cable with VGA/audio/network/AC

 

playing a VHS or DVD from the player in the room - select video input on projector

    - how to control volume

playing a DVD from a laptop

- Windows Media Player doesn’t usually play the audio

 

Rooms with installed computer (D212, theatre, labs)

- use Novell login

 

Rooms where you bring your own laptop

- hardwired network cable – use your Novell login (OC computers only)

- wireless – select Workstation before you login

- need MyOkanagan login to use the wireless network

- wireless in Vista: try 142.23.30.1:8080

 

What can you do once you’re connected?

- show anything on your computer (presentations, photos, software)

- demo annotation in powerpoint

- demo using a wacom tablet

- show anything available on the web (websites, games, video)

Right click My Computer, pull down to Manage.

Under Storage, open Disk Management.

Right click and pull down to Change Drive Letter (I like ‘W’)
